Eeeeeeew! I've never considered "watery" to be a *good* adjective to apply to eyes . . . though depending on how irritating these lenses are, you might get that as a byproduct, it's true.

At least they don't have little sparkly LEDs embedded in the lenses, to give you the 6 extra highlights you'd need to complete the look.

I'm sure that'll be *next* year's fashion accessory. :P

Wow, because wanting to look like a cartoon character isn't at all weird...

I think it's kinda cute... very strange, but cute. I guess it'd be good for those who cosplay anime characters, at least.

I guess it's good for people who do cosplay, but for normal purposes?! Just plain scary.

I misscanned that as animal so a double surprise at the end of the link.

Am a coward about sticking things in my eye, but for contacts users, the expense would be the worst putoff. The result looks pretty and reminds me of a friend going cerulean-blue-iris courtesy of contacts during her Frodo fangirl phase.

Anime's sexualised/child imagery is potentially squicky I agree.

oooo-kaaaaaay.

I already have over-large pupils (results in people thinking I'm stoned occasionally, but mostly major light sensitivity) and that... that looks even odder.

I'll have to chalk this one up to cosplay-only. If I came upon this in the workplace ... that'd be just strange.

--Okay, before I clicked on it I thought it was going to be something like Byakugan or Sharingan eyes, or FFVII SOLDIER-blue, something I've already seen on the convention floor. I've always found those quite striking.

There was a girl at the last con I went to who had beautiful, heart's-blood red contacts, a very deep and alluring shade, for her Krahe/Claire costume from "Princess Tutu." Those were eyes you'd follow someone home for.

But these? Creepy as hell. No, thank you.

Gaaaaahhhhh!

I just got contacts that were misfitted and they were -beastly- uncomfortable.
