It looks like someone's taken an original Euro and altered it. What beggars imagination though is why it ended up in circulation?

When I was travelling in Ireland, I liked getting the Euro coins from all over the place. My husband and I would say "Ooh, this one's from France!" or "Hey, this is from Italy!" I don't know what would have happened if we got one with Homer's face. "Hey, honey, this one is from the Republic of Simpson!"
