Stephanie Jaworski's venerable JoyOfCakes.com has been beautifully redesigned. I wandered over there this morning and instantly started drooling.

(sigh) Duane's Twelfth Law: You will always come across a particularly scrumptious-looking food site at the moment when you were just getting into the business of dumping a few pounds. Feh...

(mutter) Wouldn't it just be. Fortunately, on the Rotation Diet (too old, staid and sensible to make millions these days) I'll dump half that between now and next Friday -- having known already that most of it was water -- and dump another 10lb gently, a pound or 3/4 pound a day, over the remainder of July. The final 5-7 lb that I need to lose to fit into the snazzy designer number I bought to wear to the Fans 'N' Pros reception at LA Worldcon, I'll dump during the front end of August, and that will see me down to my proper (for my age in the world: why on Earth would I want to be a size 3 any more??) 118 lb or thereabouts, give or take a bit.

(sigh) Right now I'm missing everything fried: yet enjoying an accidental invention of the past week, the tuna and wasabi with lime juice sandwich on whole wheat. Yum!

It all looks delicious, especially the individual-size tiramisu since most recipes are far too big for two people. But I'm with you on deliciousness showing up right when I need to cut back on the treats to avoid buying new pants. Fortunately the fresh black raspberries are more exciting than cake right now and too few to sacrifice for pie.
