I feel a certain sympathy for the victim, but also a certain sense of schadenfreude on behalf of the quail. Hey, hunters with guns around! Of course it's going to be dangerous.

Date: 2006-02-14 10:12 pm (UTC)Frankly, this is one of the very few times I think the critics are OVERreacting. So he was dumb and disregarded gun safety. Given that the usual stuff he does qualifies him to get taken down by Batman, this is pretty silly stuff.
And anyway, I live on a quail-infested mountainside. I love all life, but I really can't blame anybody for wanting to shoot the stupid little buggers.
