Squeaky has thoughtfully pulled the fur off the hurt spot. There is an abscess there from something's bite -- cat? rat? Probably not bat -- which is now draining. Relief all around. Antibiotics tomorrow, though...

My sympathies in advance. If there's anything dogs and cats have in common, I suspect it will extend to their attitude towards taking their prescribed medicinals.

That's an understatement! This one is on daily meds for the rest of her life. She hates them. Luckily she doesn't have front claws.

When my dog used to need her meds, she never resorted to violence. Subterfuge was more her preferred tactic. Or quiet avoidance.
