Two bits of weirdness
Mar. 23rd, 2011 07:36 pmOne of them mine, one of them someone else's.
Mine, because I can't embed the video over here: A postwar German dairy commercial... genuinely one of the most surreal pieces of advertising I know. (With translation.)
Someone else's, and what a concept: a piece of fanfic. Four words: Tony Bourdain in Narnia. SRSLY.

Date: 2011-03-23 08:41 pm (UTC)I remember the time when German private TV channels were actually pretty good, and that rainbow ball, too!
Something started nagging me when I watched that butter ad, and then I realised: They had taken the music from a then-popular song, "Ansonsten, Herr Lutter, ist alles in Butter". Originally from 1951, the only version I could youtube is this one from 1968: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT_lFgaa8Zw. Lyrics-wise, it's a lot of weird and bad things happening to Mr Lutter, but "otherwise, everything's OK".
...and now I need to get that out of my head. ;)
