On the subject of food, I'm curious to know whether you think this restaurant (http://www.fatduck.co.uk/) is intriguingly innovative or just scary. I can't quite get my mind round the idea of Smoked Bacon and Egg Ice Cream with Pain Perdu and Tea Jelly.

I went there a month ago and wrote up the experience rather exhaustively, with many photos, on my blog (http://www.justhungry.com/2006/11/the_fat_duck_bray_berkshire_uk.html) if you are interested... the egg ice cream deal was not bad at all.

I'd substitute "flamboyant" and "deliberately outrageous" for "innovative" and "scary" (can you think of a less appealing name for a dish than "snail porridge"?)
