Ron Moore is going to be writing the screenplay for the new version of The Thing. (via Variety and various other sources)

Heh, given his work on Battlestar Galactica, I'm sure it'll be full of new stuff with plenty of "hat-tipping" to the original.

I kind of wonder what he'd do with a remake, or "re-imagining" of Buck Rogers...

Hope he doesn't overwork himself taking all of this on. I like the work he and his people have been doing with Galactica.
