(chuckle)

Trekking well beyond the Dark Side of the Moon, a Calgary indie rock band has forged a musical force-field in defence of embattled Pluto. In a five-man band mission, the group Sub Plot A is sending a musical signal they hope will be heard 'round the solar system and among the International Astronomical Union (IAU) which last month demoted Pluto to dwarf planet status.

Band songwriter and keyboardist Arun Lakra says the scientists appear to have their pocket protectors in a knot and vows "Pluto Rocks" will strike back at the IAU.

You tell 'em, folks...

Unfortunately for them, space is a vacuum, and will suck up their song!

Actually, we were talking about this in Astronomy the other day... one of the lines from the song is, and I quote:

"If they were looking for a planet to screw, it should've been Uranus."
