(Hmm, sounds like a Doctor Who title. You can just hear the denouement. “All right, Masters of the Hydrox, now listen to me! In accordance with Section Eighteen, paragraph twelve of the Shadow Proclamation, and by virtue of the power vested in me as the last of the Time Lords, I order you to divest yourselves of all excess vanilla creme and — oh, all right, not all, don’t look that way! Just lose the transfats and Bob’s your uncle.”)
…I liked them well enough when I was a kid: it’ll be interesting to see how they taste these days. Apparently they’re being “reissued” sometime this month.

Date: 2008-08-12 10:02 pm (UTC)Also, in response to the comment you left on my wall @ Facebook... I see! OldBSG isn't really my thing, but I adore newBSG. Of course, Mary McDonnell has a lot to do with that, but it's still brilliant stuff. I love that Ron actually does pay attention to fan feedback, even if he doesn't let it influence certain of his ideas, which is not always a bad thing.
*irons her Sker'ret shirt for DWcon, whistling happily* Ten days!

Date: 2008-08-12 11:03 pm (UTC)I eat maybe a couple of dozen Oreos a year (opportunistically; I don't keep them in the house), so I'm not personally likely to make or break either Sunshine or Nabisco, but still . . . Oreos. Yeah.

I think it was someone at Car and Driver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_and_Driver) magazine who once noted that with a name like Hydrox, it must have been made from petrochemical derivatives.
