You might like Maine Public Radio's "Down Memory Lane" which airs Fridays from 2pm to 4pm. They play songs from the top of the charts this week every five years from... umm, just for the sake of arguement, let's say 1928-1968. I forget the exact range. He also covers "current" news from the Bangor paper.

Holy crap (I say in a good way)--I wouldn't get rid of my collection of 78s, but one reason I have so many (hundreds!) is because a lot of the music on them isn't available anywhere else. Or so I thought.

(Of course a lot of LPs in my library have this "Nowhere else" distinction too.)
