Vegas WiFi gaming, OMG...
Jul. 22nd, 2008 09:53 amAnywhere in Dublin, day or night, you’re likely to be knocked flat by people hurrying along with their heads down as they clutch their mobiles and text each other like crazy.
Now suddenly I’m can’t lose the image of people hurrying through the streets of Vegas, day and night, heads down and clutching their eDecks, gambling like crazy.
(Of course the casinos and gambling providers would need to cover the city with a WiFi cloud… but if there was enough money in it, it’d happen in a Vegas minute…)

Date: 2008-07-22 03:15 pm (UTC)(Public wifi on the Strip would probably be great for tourists, but everyone who lives and actually works here makes an effort not to go down there. It might be a better idea for downtown because it probably wouldn't be too hard to blanket the main corridors with wifi and would support growth, but it's a question of who would use it on a regular basis and my guess would be the happiest customers would be craigslist hookers.)
