Thanks, Diane. My Irish-American family grew up in South Boston, Massachusetts. Every year, we would go to the St. Patrick's Day parade and then head over to the house of my grandma's cousin for a "traditional" boiled dinner of corned beef, turnips, cabbage, and potatoes. Albert cooked from morning 'til night, and always had an open door policy for the hungry travelers. *Sadly, he passed away last year. He will be sorely missed.*
In Orlando, FL, there is a fairly new restaurant called Raglan Road that prepares other Irish dishes. If you ever have the chance to visit the Disney area, I'd love to hear your opinion on their food. ^_^ I'm interested in genuine recipes to prepare this week. I'll definitely be checking EuropeanCuisines. com out.
