Just so that everybody knows: access information for Chapter One has gone out to all TBM subscribers.

The mailing list software is still acting up, so I've had to gang-email everyone by hand this morning. If you're a subscriber and you do not receive your access info today, please mail me and I'll see what's going on. (In particular, I've had to hand-compile the subscriber lists, so there's always the chance that an address might have gotten mangled or dropped out.)

Thanks again!

I know a couple children who are going to bed early tonight so their parents have plenty of time to read...

So happy the chapter came out before we leave on our weekend retreat!

I didn't wait that long, I downloaded it and read it instead of working. And now have to wait for the next chapter (see what happens to children who gobble their food? *g*)...

Very happy...

I read it between calls at work because I couldn't wait to get home to read it. After all the hoping for this book to be written, here's the first chapter, yea!

I have a mental image of a small cat named Cursor poised at the threshold between chapter 1 and chapter 2 with a frantic paw thrashing under the door trying to catch ahold of the next part of the story.

"a small cat named Cursor poised at the threshold between chapter 1 and chapter 2 with a frantic paw thrashing under the door"

Or trying to get into the tin marked "Chapter Two" before it's been fully opened. "Cats are hungry, need food NEEEOWWW!" (My apologies for the transcription from Ailurin, I don't have a suitably equipped terminal...)

I don't think it's a coincidence that all of the people I find attractive have a lot in common with cats (whether they share living space with them or not; at least one is unfortunately allergic but is very catlike in manner)...

sometimes, it is much
better to wait, and read it
when it is quiet.

I prefer to read when I don't have two small people constantly interrupting me and saying, "Mommy! He hit meeeee!" A good book, like a good wine, needs to be savored. And it looks like we'll be savoring this one for months...

yeah, and this chapter for a few weeks, too.
and I also managed to read it without the kids around... waiting was hard, though.. )))

I feared that I'd get bogged down and reading far past my time for getting out of the apartment today, so I'm going to wait. Ack! I hate waiting!

On this topic, DD, and sorry if you're getting harassed about this- when does it look like subscribing-by-check/mail order/whichever is going to be an option? Because I do have a little spare cash currently and want to spend it before I, you know, fritter it. :P Anyway, just wondering if there's any news on that front.

Ya go away from the Internet for a bit and LOOK at all the things you miss... :) I've just subscribed to The Big Meow over from the website, and sent the price by PayPal; please let me know if it doesn't show up for a week or so.

I read the first chapter and loved it!!! I think I'll need to read the first two yet again, to refresh my mind on the characters.

Can't wait for chapter two!

Diane: While you are still bashing the mailing lists etc into submission, you'll get an email from me sometime in the next 24 hours. My email addy linked to PayPal is, unfortunately, the one that likes eating emails and not telling me! And I have to change it, both on PayPal and on your mailing list!
