It's been two months since I broached this subject. Now it's time to make a choice. I'll be evaluating my options over the weekend.

If you have an opinion and you haven't emailed me, now's the time.

I'll buy multiple copies if that'll mean you'll write it. Puh-leeeease? with a cherry on top?

(I've already emailed. I don't want to skew the numbers by having you think I'm an additional vote.)

We're already on record with our opinion, but I was wondering what kind of numbers you are looking for...

TO Write, please.

I just sent off an email, but will beg and plead here, too. Please write "The Big Meow". I am having Wizards Withdrawal.

Thanks, Jean from Dahlonega

Please, write it!
I would buy a paper copy even at hardback price.
And if the only way is an e-book, I'll buy that too.

Please write it!

I have emailed you, but I think you need to change the variables up a bit -- the question is, is there a price point that is viable?

Assuming there aren't enough people interested in the short term to support your current suggested price point, I see two potential alternatives:

1. Find a price that's "too high" that enough people are willing to pay to make it viable. Sure, $12 is a bit steep for an e-book...but is it viable if it makes the book come out when it wouldn't otherwise? Note that, especially since the price would want to come down a bit after the book was written and out, this would probably mean giving advance purchasers a few months with a monopoly on the work before the general public got it for cheap.

2. See if people are willing to invest -- paying much more up front ($100?) to get the book published, with the entire thing structured such that they get most or all of the money back over time if the book picks popularity. Effectively, the investors would act as the publishing house, absorbing the risk -- but leaving you in control.

I'll gladly buy one to read and another to Bookcross. I think I like the feline wizards better than the young wizards, myself.

I second the investment strategy. I do just about anything to keep you in cat food while you write Big Meow.

Hmmm, maybe I better be careful about making statements like that--given how much it cost me the last time... *grin* (waits impatiently)

Hm, I'd be willing to invest, probably up to $300.. XD Just freed up 'bout $300 from selling off my Google stock anyhow. Granted, I might not get that much back, but hey, I'm willing to go that far for the sake of a book~ =^^=;;

Yes!

I'm a bit late, but I didn't see this until someone left a link in my forum. If it helps any, I review YA books (and I'm also a writer) and I know I'd love to see a new book in this series! I'd definitely review it & promote it on my site (www.yabookscentral.com) where your books are always a big hit.

I'd also love to do an interview with you. :-) If you're interested, I'm at kim@yabookscentral.com
