Somebody needs to make sure Ron Moore hears about this

From the newsblog that appears on Blogger's dashboard page:

I am overjoyed to announce that today we have o’ficially graduated the new version of Blogger from “in beta” to “.” Why is this significant? Allow me to explain via analogy:

Battlestar Galactica with Lorne Greene : Battlestar Galactica with Edward James Olmos :: Old Blogger : New Blogger

(chuckle)

Now playing: street music - Cylinder Piano Tunes

I'm not sure why, but I could never really take Lorne Greene seriously as an authority figure. Maybe I was too young, hadn't watched enough Bonanza? But if Mr. Olmos tells me there's a planet out there with our name on it and we're gonna find it, I *believe* him. *nods*

Hmm, I guess I need to watch more of the new series, because my first thought about the analogy was 'they call that an improvement?'

For the generations that grew up -- are still growing up -- watching him, Greene was exactly that sort of guy in his heyday, the same sort as Olmos is now.

For me that would mean "So you're warning me that I'll really miss the old version, but after a couple of decades I'll be able to get it on DVD".
