Some different Easter chocolate

Forget the bunnies. Even the famous gold ones with the bell (which I don't despise).

Here's something different: a hen and chicks from BienManger.com in France.

Meanwhile, I have no explanation whatsoever for the chocolate sardines.

Very cute chickens!

Here in Australia, the rabbit was introduced, and has caused extraordinary environmental damage.

To raise awareness of this some confectioners produce Easter Bilbies (A Bilby or Rabbit Eared Bandicoot is an extraordinary bandicoot threatened with extinction, silver furred, with long ears and a black and white flag like tail) and give part of the proceeds to the conservation effort for this remarkable creature.

Pink Lady chocolates also do an Easter Wombat, I've just found a rather amusing entry about the consumption of one - http://gonechocco.com/?p=1942 the writer also talks about other, more unusual Easter chocolates.

In related news the mad geniuses over at Thinkgeek offer up a different kind of chocolate bunny (http://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/looflirpa/e88a/). Eat it before it eats you! ;)
