The batman one is a classic! And the Trek/SG is totally spot-on. I remember another Trek rant about how the continuations decreased in quality. However, the author doesn't care as long as (something along the lines of) "Diane Duane keep writing the Original Star Trek series books" ;P

Wow. That Trek & Stargate comparison is spot on. I'm a fan of both shows universes, and they really nailed it.

Huh. The Trek/Gate comparasion always seemed obvious to me... Maybe I just watch too much of both?

I mean, heck, on more of a microcosmic level -- beaming, the fact that the Prometheus's bridge syncs up pretty close with the Enterprise's... I always just attributed it to the notion that the SG writers are probably nerds who've seen a lot of ST.

On a totally unrelated note, every time Teal'c does something with his eyebrows, I think he'd make a pretty darn good Vulcan.
