*want*

Bluetooth Vibrating Alert Cell Phone Bracelet with Proximity Warning for the Absent Minded (from Nexus404 via Prylfeber (where there are entirely too many cool things: good thing I have no idea what most of them are, since the site's in Swedish))

I know a certain absent-minded tenor soloist who ought to have one of those things. How he keeps track of his mobile phone is anybody's guess. :-)

I'd be looking for the "activate teleport" button all the time ...

But yes, *want*.

It looks far too much like a SF 'Prisoner Control Bracelet' for me.

I don't want my hand exploding if I go 2 meters away from my mobile phone.

I can translate, if you want... :-)

If that's a Blakes 7 reference...my thought exactly.

hey!

You beat me to it!

I may buy one of those because I am on call, and sometimes I can't feel my phone vibrating...I didn't buy it for its vibrating ability. This beastie would allow me to be notified discreetly...unlike my current ringtone...which is the Star Trek Red Alert (old series) klaxon.

It was, yes :)

I want a setting I could Bluetooth to this bracelet from any nearby phone or desk. This setting would notify the user to come fetch his shrieking cell phone and shut it up. It would be good for open plan offices and arguably just as polite as finding the offending phone and stealing its battery. :-)

Um, that was me. Sorry. Stupid Livejournal deciding to forget who I am ...

That's exactly what I thought!
